    So normally I take and make calls on Bluetooth but every now and again I have a need to use my phone as my handset. within the past two weeks it's gotten worse and worse to the point where tonight I did a test and people can't hear me at all on the handset. So I called att to explain my situation. Of course in out of warranty. Thry said I could pay the deductable and go through azurion which is like 100.00. Or I could pay off one of the devices on our contract which is 128.00 and buy a new device. He wanted me to gook my phone up to the computer to do a reset and of course i told him about the ribbon cable I've been reading about...

    That being said... Interested in opunions on what to do. I don't feel comfortable taking apart a phone. I'm an it tech but phones are a lot smaller ;).

    Personally I'd repair it myself. If you don't want to, then I'd have it repaired. A decent replacement will probably cost you more.
