Do you have a photo of your screen so we can see? Could be a hardware defect.
A better picture of it
I don't see any bright spot - could be too small for your camera to pick up. Have you tried using Hardware Tests and check if your screen has any dead or out-of-order pixels?
No not yet. I'll have to try it.
I tried it out and it turns out it is a bright spot on the screen after all
It could be a manufacturing defect with the clear black polarizer, check if you could exchange it.
Gotcha. Is there any number that I can call?
You'll probably have to take that up with Microsoft Microsoft Lumia 640 - Warranty and repair - Microsoft - USA
Check out that link.
I sent my 640 in for a repair of a bright spot, it came back with an even bigger bright spot. Wasn't happy at all. My advice is to pick up an AT&T 640 for $29 and switch out the screens. I believe it's caused by debris getting on the backlight, not a polarizer issue. This you could do yourself but there's always a chance you could screw it up messing around with it. The 640 isn't exactly vacuum sealed, and you can see what i mean when you take the back cover off and see where all the light leaks are. To prevent this I don't carry it in my front pocket anymore.
