TL;DR, I loaned my HTC 8X to my best friend who lost her phone back in January '15, screen met concrete hard October '14, but everything still works 100%, It's March 2016 now, and I just got it back - she got an iPhone. It's been in a drawer for quite a while actually.

When I gave it to her, it was on WP 8.1 Preview for Developers 8.10.14716.243. Cortana was there and everything. Now the phone is telling me "A Critical update is ready to be downloaded."

Namely,
8.10.14192.280
8.10.14203.306 (Cookie cutter "This update will make your phone work even better.)
8.10.14219.341
HTC Update for Windows Phone (Fixes a rebooting issue it says.)

(They appear in that order when I ask for the update details.)

I ask kindly. SHOULD I UPDATE MY 8X TO THOSE VESIONS? BECAUSE I FEAR IT WILL BRICK ITSELF DURING THE PROCESS AS SO MANY OTHER PEOPLE REPORTED.

Thank you.
