Should I replace Lumia 1520 with 640XL?

My Lumia 1520 battery is getting worse and there is screen sensitivity issue, it sometimes does not response to touch; WIFI is unable to connect to network, I have to restart the phone to get it to work.

My phone is still under warranty. I go to Microsoft to ask for replacement. They replace it with 640XL. The CPU power, RAM, and camera are much lower than 1520. I am not happy about it.

Should I replace my 1520 with 640XL? Can I ask them to give my warranty money back when they could not honor to replace a phone at least at that level or better?

How does warranty really mean in Microsoft?

Having a 640XL and a 930 (same hardware as the 1520) you will notice the difference in performance!

Lol no. Get another 1520 or ask for a 950. The 640xl is no match for the 1520.

I have asked, the tech says their xls guideline is either 640XL or M8. M8 is out of stock and 1520 is no longer in stock.

Anyone has success story to ask for 1520 replacement with 950 or 950XL?

Then your screwed. Sell the 640xl as soon as you get it and buy a 1520 on Ebay. They are giving you a slower phone.

I am thinking to file a complain that Microsoft is violated the consumer's right.
You buy an insurance for BMW and insurance company only can replace your car with Toyota. It does not sound like to me.
What do you say?

Check if the insurance is from Microsoft, most probably it's a third party. Besides it's always mentioned in the T&C that the insurance company has the right to provide another device if they can't find a replacement. Regardless, do not settle for the 640XL. Either get the 950/XL or ask for a comparable Android device.

My 1520 died earlier this week as well as my wife's. I didn't want to buy a 950 XL because I keep hearing about bugs and HERE maps won't work on Windows 10 after June. GPS is a big deal for us and hopefully Microsoft gets an equal replacement for it. So as a stopgap measure, I purchased two 640 XLs. It is slightly slower but for my use the difference is milliseconds. The screen is only 720 HD but that is good enough for now. So I am happy using the 6401 XL as a replacement until the HP phone comes out, the 950 XL starts working correctly or some other Hero phones running Windows 10 come out. To be honest with you, I am happy with it as a replacement given that I only paid $250 for it.

I don't recall they give me the warranty TC but I was told that they will replace my phone for damage coverage for any reason and hardware defects for 2 years. They also told me that they will replace equivalent phone if they do not have Lumia 1520. I paid $99 for 2-years warranty in-store.

I use the phone intensively, photo shooting as well as play game on it. 1G of memory is definitely not enough. CPU power also matter, and camera is another main reason that I refuse to replace it with 640XL.

The warranty insurance is "Microsoft Complete Win Phone ADH P1-DQF-00190" on my receipt.
