Opened up my browser this morning, all half asleep, and saw an add from the Microsoft Store. Had a double take. Took them long enough.
For those interested:

Lumia 950 is on sale $100 off reg. price in Canada. Reg. $749, Sale $649.

Yep, saw that on Mobile Syrup twitter. Finally going to pull the trigger, been waiting for a sale - took longer than I had hoped for a discount to come around. My 1020 battery is weak and camera way too slow/buggy. Hopefully the 950 will be a significant overall improvement.

I love the device in general. The problem is the device currently struggles to work as advertised. For now anyway, MS should reign in their enthusiasm in their online promotional materials for the 950.

Yes, US $549, Sale is $449.

Also you can use the %10 Student discount if you are a student (or know anyone who is a student, take them with you lol)
I got it down to $404 before taxes

Awesome deal. Unfortunately the Canadian site doesn't offer Edu discounts on the 950, 950xl, or 650. Plus those items that do allow Edu discounts can't be combined with other sale prices. This last part goes for the US website too, I checked. So I'm assuming you bought in store, and perhaps they made a mistake in allowing both discounts. Anyway, good for you. ☺

Yes, I went in store.
It was $100 off and I just asked if they could apply the Edu discount and they said yes, without any problems
