How do I delete a Microsoft account from my old Lumia 520?

how to delete microsoft account from my old lumia520

i purchased new lumia 540. and sold my old lumia520 to my friend. but i cannot delete my microsoft account from my old 520phone. hence the new owner getting all my details including contact details. what is the solution?

Do a hard reset. Go to Settings > About and press the reset your phone button. This will remove any sort of personal data on the phone.

Whenever you transfer ownership of a device you should do a factory reset to delete any personal data from it.

Go to settings about and tap "Reset my phone"
