Amazon and 640s

There are a lot of 640ssans shipping for under $50. They say they come with an unlock code to use it on another carrier. Would you guys buy one? Would it be worth it? I use T-Mobile and they're no help with my Alcatel... What do you think

I don't see the loss in buying one. If you are up to doing all of this flashing stuff, you can unlock it and then load the T-Mobile rom so that you can have band 12.

If you're in the US, I'd check Best Buy. $30 (plus shipping, or $35 purchase = free shipping, or maybe find one in store), do the unlock yourself for free (basically just request the code as a non-AT&T customer BEFORE opening the box...IMEI is on the outside), then do whatever you want with it.

If your not up to the challenge I can get you a 640, unlock it, and convert it to t-Mobile for you. I put an ad here in the Marketplace sub-forum.
