I just purchased an unlocked L650 which I really think I'll like. After getting home with it I quickly found out that I only had a 2g signal. T-mobile walked we through configuring the APN settings, but still no LTE in a strong LTE area.

Has anyone else had issues setting up 4g/LTE on t-mobile with a L650 ?

Thanks,
-john

Duel SIM Variant? I'm not sure what that is, there is only room for one SIM card, is that a configuration setting?

In the US they sell the dual sim 650. It will say it on the box. There are two nano SIM slots plus the memory expansion up to 200 GB. I, too, was worried about LTE connectivity on T-Mobile but I did have it. I didn't have to adjust settings at all.

It was purchased at the windows store. The box is at home, so I don't have it with me.

Ooh okay. I believe if you go to settings, it will tell you in "About phone". Based on the specs on the MS site, that might be why. The one that B&H Photo sells has LTE support for T-Mobile for bands 2 and 4. Having the model number might help us figure out if there's some kind of error, or if the model just doesn't support it.

Edit: Yes that is the model number, thank you.
Edit 2: From what I see of that model, it's not you, it just doesn't support LTE bands for T-mobile. :(

This one does though: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produ...tml/BI/20079/KBID/13844/SID/UUwpUvbUpU3483185

From Microsoft:
You can only use your device on the LTE 800 (20), 900 (8), 1800 (3), 2100 (1), 2600 (7); WCDMA 850, 900, 2100; and GSM 850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz networks (RM-1152); WCDMA 850, 900, 1700/2100, 1900, 2100; and GSM 850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz networks.

T-Mobile uses bands 2,4,12 for their network and LTE in general.

Yeah, I'm sorry.
If you want to, you can order one from B&H Photo, who ships very fast and return this one from MS. B&H has a 30 day return policy. You can just google "b&h photo" if you would rather not click my link. From there, search for lumia 650 and you'll be led there.

Where did you find the RM-1152 specs for the 4g frequencies ? I can't seem to find a site specific to the 1152 or is it all L650 models that have this issue?

I think the Cricket model is a single SIM variety. So I have to ask - is/was the Lumia 650 that I bought at the US Microsoft store not capable of working with all of T-Mobile's LTE bands? I assume the same can be said of the unlocked 640 XL I purchased?
