Can anybody explain this field test and i also want to know what i have to select in

this list so that my phone can receive 3g , HSPA+ and LTE signals (it currently only

receives E and 4g signals when connected with internet. One more thing I dont have

option of highest connection speed option. I think it is disabled by AT&T in India but

not sure.If I upgrades to windows 10 through windows insider will i get this option or i

have to wait for the Official OTA upgrade by AT&T so that a firmware update by AT&T

will add this option.

Actually, you are already there...

I have the ATT GoPhone 640. All bands on the phone are enabled out of the box. There is nothing left to access. For WCDMA (3G and H+) the phone supports Band 1 (2100 MHz) which carriers in India are using.

Because of delays to LTE rollout a few years ago in the US, phones with US firmware show H+ as 4G in the status bar and LTE for true 4G. In the US H+ is often nicknamed fauxG because of the way it gets labeled as 4G.

For LTE the phone has Bands 2, 4, 5, 7, 17 and 28. Carriers in India seem to be favoring Bands 3 and 40 so you won't see LTE on this phone right now.

It means this phone does not support LTE in India. But in future is there any possibility that a firmware update by AT&T or if i flash Argentina ROM or Mexico Rom will enable those bands 3 and bands 40.

I wouldn't expect anything from ATT to open up Bands on LTE.

I'm checking with someone who runs that ROM to see if the LTE and the WCDMA you need is there in the Mexico ROM.

I asked specifically:
Does Mexico ROM on 640 have LTE Bands 3 and 40 for use in India? It keeps WCDMA Band 1 (2100 MHz) intact?

I received this answer:
No, it does not. The RM-1073 variant does not have those bands and flashing a ROM does not unlock bands, at least not on the 640.
