    Hey folks,

    For those with the Elite x3 who are also on the Fast Ring (RS2) and you have not received the third firmware update (0002.0000.0018.0105) from Nov 23 I have some bad news:

    You MUST roll back to RS1 using the Windows Device Recovery Tool (WDRT) and get the firmware while on RS1 (Production) or RS1 (Release Preview). You can then proceed to go to Fast Ring again.

    Of course, you could just skip the firmware too and stay on Fast Ring. Nothing bad will happen.

    I can't share the exact details of the situation, but that is the official guidance for now. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but thems the brakes with new hardware.

    Dang is this still the case? It seems they like making this hard on us. I wish HP or MS would post firmware updates on their URL.
