Is single sim worth getting? Not like I need 2 sim cards. Next question is.. did they fix signal search/connection issues? I had a 950 XL dual SIM last year and ended up returning it since it couldn't get decent signal on AT&T in rural areas (out of town) where I can get signal with 1520 just fine. I have done my research on differences between 1520 and 950 XL on all cellular bands that 950 XL has all bands of 1520 plus more... not really seeing problems there other than firmware/OS related?

If you don't plan on traveling overseas or don't have a work data plan, I wouldn't think you'd need to get a dual SIM phone. I've used multiple single sim 950XLs on AT&T, and I've never had a signal issue.

Like I said. Which I didn't state how many RM1116 I picked up last year.. 2.. both did same.. horrible signal and no connection most of time which is sad cause the RM940 Nokia 1520 got good signal in areas where 950 xl couldn't get any signal. Could that be explained? Both phones have same cell bands except 950 xl has more...

If its true for all 950XLs then it is probably just that the 950XLs have worse antennas than the 1520s. And that is sad because my 1520 usually had one less bar than my wife's L640 wherever we were, so the 1520s didn't have the greatest reception.

odd.. 1520s was best phone in reception I have ever had of all phones I've used. Better than this ZenFone 3 Deluxe 5.7.. can't stand Android... and not big fan of iOS either.

Maybee take it to your ATT store and ask them if a different APN is available for your phone. it may help I had to do this once when my sim had a problem on T-Mobile.

Interesting enough... I picked up a single sim 950 xl couple days ago and I say that signal strength/quality is way better than dual sim version. Now I can actually use the phone in areas i couldn't before lol.
