Is it possible to take pictures through the headphone jack

I'm trying to build a 3D scanner that requires photos to be taken at set rotations. In order to do this other phones use a the headphone volume up rocker. I have not been successful in getting this to work. Anyone have any luck taking photos via button without using the button on their phones?

In Lumia mobiles, only physical camera button can do this.

And there is no any app which can do this..

same protocol for bluetooth shutter as android (enter). im currently using ipega bluetooth remote to take photos on tripods to avoid shake when i already composed a shot on my lumia950
volume + for shutter is iphones nethod of bluetooth shutter.
btw 950s also have a host usb function,i have tested and plugging in a keyboard and the enter key takes picture while in camera app.
