Anyone else experiencing issues with the USB C port?

When I plug into charge it's getting more and more sensitive to the cable placement and regularly disconnects if the cable isn't perfectly lined up?

I haven't experienced that.
Which build are you on?
Are you using the wall charger provided?

Have you inspected the port and cable end for lint or signs of damage?

Yes I swapped out the cables, I AM using the original wall charger. I also attempted to clean out the port and have not found any lint.

Take a backup and then use WDRT to reset. Don't restore the backup yet...

This will tell you almost for a certainty if it is hardware (problem persists).

If the problem persists use your warranty.

If issue is resolved, you have to decide if you want to start fresh with the setup and check updates manually, or factory reset and restore your backup.

It's a warranty issue, the problem has gotten worse and worse and now the device won't connect or charge at all. I'm currently fighting with Alcatel to get the thing fixed.
