I was trying to find the info myself & the only relevant thing google found was your post. I am gonna take a wild guess & say its probably for the backwards compatibility for XB1 cuz some of the games they said would work "right away" don't show up on my XB1 like Small Arms, Hexic & another Ican't remember ... But all others do ... But I am stupid & don't know anything so I wouldn't trust me ... Cheers!?

Ok I just popped onto the New Features tile on the preview section and this is what it says:
????Rich Presence: Starting with this update, you'll now be able to see what you friends are doing in their games, just like on Xbox One.
It also states that this is the first update of the new Xbox 360 preview wave. Available June 18 at 4PM.

Got another update, its just bug fixes nothing major but I have to say the Xbox 360 is responding much faster.
