With the arrival of 4K streaming on Amazon and Netflix, as well as the impending Ultra HD Blu-Ray, what is the 4K media strategy for Microsoft going forward? To support the new Ultra HD Bly-Rays, it would require Microsoft to release new Xbox One hardware with the drive, and probably upgrading to HDMI 2.0 as well. I certainly hope they have something in the works for a refreshed hardware model. I understand gaming would not be impacted, which makes me think they may not care about media. I hope this is something they consider though, it would finally convince me to get an Xbox One if they did.
