How does the system cooling compare on the One versus the One S? It seems like the S could run hotter because it is more compact and has smaller vents. I am not worried about overheating- just thinking that the original One would average lower temps.

While I have not found a detailed temperature comparison, I did find an interview of a Microsoft rep that covered my question:

Tech Interview: Inside Xbox One S • Eurogamer.net

Microsoft upgraded the SoC in the S. The manufacturing tech is now 16nm, compared to the original One's 28nm. That helps reduce power consumption while maintaining performance levels.

Aye, the Xbox One S runs cool as a cucumber. I might ask Dan Rubino to do some head camera tests, as he has one.
