windows phone 8.1 to 8 downgrade

I have a lumia 720 with win 8.1 preview for developers installed.now i want to downgrade and install the official release of win 8.1.
which option is better :
1.to downgrade using nokia software updater, or
2.to reset my phone which is in the settings option and keep installing the updates.

No choice, you have to use the software recovery tool.
The hard reset in your option 2 won't downgrade your phone. It will erase all your apps, settings and data but your phone will still be on developers preview and will not receive the Cyan update (until you do finally downgrade)
