I have a new phone how do I get the apps back from the old version

I had gotten a new windows phone due to an over heating and loss of service problem. The guy at the AT&T store assured me I would not have to download each app individually. I have a Nokia Lumia 920. How do I get my Apps back?

Make sure your signed Into the original account as the last phone.if the back up did t redownload all your apps then go to the app store..press the bottom right corner of the 3 dots and then you will get an option to see your history of apps you downloaded
