Nokia Lumia Battery during Update to Windows 8.1 Help please!

During updating to Windows 8.1, my battery power went, logically I set it to recharge but when I recharge it, it does recharge so that it starts updating again but then the battery goes again, phone turns back on,starts updating again,then off to updating to off etc etc, a continuous loop has formed and I don't know what to do, please help !
