Can anyone help me with some issues I am having with my Lumia 620?

Hi,

I have been using lumia 620 since July 2013. The first year it performed quite well. Recently I have been experiencing numerous problems.

The phone sometimes hang in the middle of use. When I open the battery to restart it used to work well. Yesterday same problem happened with a auto restart and change of date! As I tried to change the date it kept hanging.

Sometimes touch screen isn't working that requires restarting. I understand a screen protector may cause hindrance for touch sensitivity but it worked well for the first one year with the protection!

Since the last software update, every time I open whatsapp it makes noise as if you are trying to speak with microphone. When you touch the mic button twice it stops.

Any advice?

Do you have developer preview version of windows phone?

Hi,

No it is not a developer preview. The phone was released around January.

Go to settings> about> reset. This may help. I have a 620 with cyan+ update 1dp, bought on May 31 2013. No issues like these such as you experienced. Usually a hard reset after an n updates resolves any issues.

First try soft reset then go for hard reset. Press volume down+ power key until your phone vibrates to do a soft reset

Thanks for the advice. Is there any chance that I will loose my settings/data if I reset the phone?

With hard reset you'll lose data, not with soft reset(power + vol down)
