Why does my People app have red blocks?

help! my People app has "red blocks"

I see red blocks instead of people's photos. I recently got a new phone. I thought I had to sync facebook, but my facebook is already added as well as hotmails. I cant uninstall and reinstall People app, so I don't know how else to fix this.

You have True installed. Those are the known spammers. You need to go in settings and tell it to filter the contacts.

Having the same issue. I'm assuming the above poster is referring to truecaller, which I do have installed. I'll try spam filtering and see if that helps. It actually says my device can't use caller id because it doesn't have cyan (HTC one) so truecaller doesn't work anyway. I was gonna holdout to see if that changed in windows 10 but I might as well just uninstall.Good luck.

Go to peoples< settings< filter contact list< uncheck "truecallers" box.. Done!

Thanks! This ws the first time I encountered this, so I assume it was another app countering it.

Guys u don't have to uninstall true caller for this issue...just go to people hub settings >filter contacts and uncheck truecaller.
