Standard option for forcing 4G or 3G etc?

I know WP has the possibility to set the highest network speed (don't see the use of it though), where as the more useful option "Lowest allowed network connection" is not available. It's really necessary when one has a weak 4G signal but the phone chooses to use 2G instead.
Can somebody tell me when this option will be available? 8.1.1 or even Win 10?

We have no idea what is available in future updates on this forum and it's unlikely you'll find and credible information anywhere else.

As for forcing 4G or 3G is dependent on the signal in the area. I don't have a 4G SIM so having my phone search for a 4G signal is a waste of time and power so that's what I set it to 3G.

I don't think there's a data floor option, although there is indeed a ceiling.

Will it change? Don't know.
