Can I Install 8.1 Denim with no apps installed or install 8.1 over existing apps?

Install 8.1 Denim with no apps installed or install 8.1 over existing apps

Happy New Year community! Here's my situation. Just received a replacement Nokia Icon. I haven't installed any apps and uninstalled as much bloatware as I could.

My question is: Should I load up my phone with my apps then install Denim (when it's released) or wait for the update to get a clean install then install my apps?

Does it make a difference?

Any advice/opinion would be much appreciated!

Really doesn't matter. Just install whatever you want. When the update is available you can always do a factory reset before installing it so you will have a clean slate.

I personally would make myself at home with apps and everything and when Denim drops, see if it has any problems. If any problems arise, I'd hard reset and start clean. If it works fine (probably will) then I'd continue enjoying the phone.
