Will Cortana work if I choose English US as speech ?

I am from India and I came to know that Cortana works in India with English UK.
Will Cortana also work if I keep my region to India and select speech as English US ?

Has anyone tried it ?

Haha I just asked that question myself.... What a coincidence... If I get an answer I will let you know

But I can't do it personally. I can switch to English region but Cortana has English accent and won't speak American unless I change region to American. So you can't mix and match region and language... But like I said... If I get a way round it I will let you know

I solved it....... It's actually in Cortana settings where you can change it to speak between English and American accent and not phone language settings. Thanks for the help anyway Harrie-s

I take it back. It worked once but when I closed Cortana and went back into it.... It said "can't speak your language yet. So close too !!! So an answer is welcome by anyone lol

Sorry sorry sorry.... It's working perfect now... You can get Cortana to speak in English accent or American accent by going in to cortana's setting for speech and NOT phone settings language. Hope that helps
