Why am I unable to sync my Windows mail to Windows phone M8?

Cannot sync windows mail to windows ph M8

Just purchased AT&T windows HTC M8 cell phone and cannot sync my existing desktop Windows Mail email account. Keep getting Error 80070057

How long have you waited since you set up your new M8? It might just take more time to sync your Microsoft account if you have a lot of emails.
