Should I capture in 16:9 or 4:3 ?

I was just wondering that should I capture my photos in 16:9 or 4:3.

16:9 is much wider. But 4:3 provide me more area for cropping.

Also 4:3 (6MP) file size is more than 16:9 (5MP).

It depends what photo's you take.
For landscape 16:9 looks "better" but fore more close up pictures like faces the 4:3 looks "better".
So why not use both formats.

Are you watching the pictures on a PC monitor or printing them on photo paper? What media you're using will also influence the resolution.

I use them for posting them online e.g. cropping a square of my face for instagram. Also for watching them on my pc as well as phone

16:9 is the aspect ratio best suited for viewing on a PC monitor or HDTV. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/16:9
