Why is my phone telling me that I have my headphones plugged in when I don't?

Hi wp user,
My Nokia Lumia 925 is telling me that i am using headphones but im not. When i call or put an alarm i do get sound through my speakers but when i run an application i don't get any sound. Can someone help me?

Is the phones bluetooth active?
If it is disable it.

Happened to me when the headphone jack got dirty, changed it out, and back to normal

If you ever used an "iOS compatible" headset it may have borked the disconnect recognition.

Try a Soft Reset. Hold the Power + Volume Down buttons until the phone vibrates and reboots (about 10 seconds). You won't lose data, but it clears system memory.
