Photos app on wp8.1.1 not showing thumbnails

Recently my Lumia 520 is suffering a strange problem. The photos app does not show any thumbnails and when opening the photo takes 1-2 secs to display it,tried restarting device,checked sd card for errors on my pc running xp,but still its happening.sd card works good on my galaxy y with no issues.

Hey thanks for the video.. How many photos do you have on the phone/sd card (whichever one you use to store the photos)?

You might need a card with more space and a higher class

16 gb class 10 uhs1 sd card with 8.3gb of free storage

Other than apps and offline maps everything like photos,music,videos etc are stored in sd card

You have enough space so it shouldn't be acting this way, but you could try to format the card? Backup everything first

Problem solved I did not do any back up but simply phone reset to factory condition (s*** why the hell should we reset phone for a simple problem and no way to patch it) now the thumb nails are visible.thanks for your suggestion I would keep it in mind.

Yes I get your frustration, that's why we try to go through every other option first before telling users to do hard resets of factory resets
