Background usage

Hello all. Could someone please explain me one fact. I disabled some apps in background usage, but when I am looking at "apps usage", it shows me 2 bars, where one is for background. Why, for example, IE consumes a lot of battery in background if it is disabled to work in background ?

Your question has been already asked before in the forums. The most useful answer was that this is caused by either leaving the app running under lock screen (i.e. not closing it before turning the screen off) or by simply switching over to another app without terminating the app first.

The Battery Saver app is also not really accurate; for example, one of my email accounts registered 100% background usage, with another email account registering >95% usage. This clearly cannot be the case, since the sum of all app usages should be at most equal to 100%!; how could one app even use up 100% of my battery?! So I wouldn't rely much on the accuracy of the data there. At the very least the app was just designed to show us which apps may be consuming power unnecessarily so that we can do something about it.
