How do I delete a paired device from Bluetooth?

I've tried to "touch and hold down" the device I want to delete, hoping the "delete" option appears as shown on some "how to" websites. But the delete button doesn't appear so can any one tell me what to do. This phone is only 2 month's old.

For windows phone (denim)
Go to settings
Go to bluetooth
Touch the device and the delete option will appear.

At least on my phones (820, 925 and 930)

If that does not work try a soft reset.
