How do I get Cortana to stop telling me i have a text?

If my volume is turned up Cortana will say you have a text from...
The only way I can stop it is when volume is turned right down but then it will only vibrate and wont make a sound therefore I cant hear that I have a text. But I don't want the names of the text read out by cortana so how do I stop this??

Go to speech settings and select never in read aloud text messages.
