Windows Central Question

Since updating from 8.1 to 10 on my laptop (Dell xps12, 128gb SSD) I seem to have lost a fair bit of HD space. Is there a way to recover any of that space? Are there any old 8.1 folders taking up space still incase I ever want to downgrade back to 8.1? (I won't)

(Since updating I only have 3.5 GB free on my HD.)

You can use the Disk Cleanup utility.. just type in search disk cleanup and after it is done scanning click on cleanup system files. Then put checkmarks beside the files you want deleted.

Thanks for that, It didn't occur to me that I could do that through Disk Cleanup.

For the record, I recovered about 20gb of space by removing old system files and 8.1. (plus 4gb I should have cleaned up ages ago) ;)

Thanks again.

(Also, I remembered to login this time!)
