WPCentral Question

After transferring several gig of data from an older machine, and verifying that it was on the WD Driver, I gave things a rest but when I came back to access things again the WD driver still shows on my network but I can't get to it. Windows says everything is configured correctly, it indicates the unit on the network was correctly installed and says it is still on the network, that it was previously connected but that it could not access it. It gave a reason 0x00028002. Can I download the WD software again without losing all the data already transferred. Is it an issue with passwords? If so, how do I get Windows 10 to get me to a place where I can enter the password? I really don't want to have to give up and call my grandson again.
