Windows Central Question
Memory_management error (BSOD) on windows 10 when external hard drive is attached.
Hi there,
I recently upgraded my laptop from Windows 7 to Windows 10.
I have a sony (HD-E1) 1TB external hard drive that has password protection software on it which had worked fine with Windows 7, but now when I enter the password to unlock the hard drive the system crashes and I get the BSOD.
I tried to use the hard drive on a friends computer (Also Windows 10) but the same problem occurs. I have seen the same question asked by a user with Windows 8 but a solution wasn't found.
Reading around I have seen different suggestion about updating the password software or something to do with memory dumps.
I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions that might make the hard drive usable on my computer?
I would really appreciate any help.
