How to reset windows 7 password without reset disk?

I forgot my password, HP laptop, windows 7 home operating system, I haven't used it for a long time and now i cant remember my old password at all, and now i cant log in to my windows 7, many people suggested me to try password reset disk, but I didn't have created before, any help will be appreciated.

Do you have windows installation dvd?

There's probably not much you can do here except to try and remember the password or you'll have to start over.

Passwords are there for a reason, after all.
