Can't Download Apps from My SAMSUNG FOCUS i917

I logged in to the phone with my Live id and that synced well too but when I try to download apps from the marketplace it shows that u need to set up a account for marketplace then when I try to create that it indicates that it has a trouble with the live id so try again or log in with a different account. When I logged in with another account the result is the same. Couple of my friends also have the same issue. So what should I do
