Windows Central Question

I woke up this morning and for some reason, when resuming my computer from sleep, it now requires me to enter my password instead of my PIN. I haven't updated anything that I know of, so I don't know what's up?

Is there a reason this would happen? A way to fix it?

After an update it always defaults back to the pasword.
But if you look closer on your login screen, you can choose the PIN option, and next time it will ask for your PIN again.

(OP, had to sign up for an account to reply.)

I've never had it default to password before after an update, and I'm not sure there were any updates done (at least, nothing that was mentioned in the notifications area).

Furthermore, the "sign-in options" doesn't even appear on the login screen anymore, so that option isn't available.

but you know your password, right? So you can log in and enable pin again in settings > accounts
