my apps that are downloded wont run on my home icons

my apps that are downloded wont run on my home screen, they say they are instaled so i just reinstaled them but that didnt work eather. how can i get my apps to work on my home icons once again

Long press on the app name in the list and "Pin to Start"??

you can pin them to start as was suggested
