Hi ! I agree with @ abhishek! malwarebytes is what you should scan with for malware. I have the Pro version that runs along with Windows Defender in real time.
The bootable defender is used when you can't boot into windows because you are to badly infected. You create a bootable CD and run it. Hopefully it will get enough of the bad guys so that you can boot into windows and run other malware programs like malwarebytes.:wink: Here's link explaining this and how to create the CD.
