I have lost my laptop mouse, how do I recover it

Whilst using my Lenova laptop, I suddenly found my mouse had froze in one position, after turning off my computer, hopefully recovering my mouse, no change no mouse, I have had to resort to buying a seperate mouse to enable me to use my laptop

Assuming this is a software problem, the first thing I would suggest is re-installing the device driver using Device Manager.
