Why wont the windows store download anything?

[Windows Central Question]

I just got Lenovo ideapad 110 and I opened it up, waited for everything to install etc. But I went onto the store and (I think this might be the root of the problem) it wouldn't sign in to my account, giving me an error message ("error please try to sign in later"). I then tried to install apps without signing in and when I attempted to sign in after clicking download it gave me the same error message.
