[URGENT] Windows 10 Defender told me reboot my pc but it's now stuck

I downloaded some file and Windows defender told me it was I virus and I had to reboot, so I clicked on "Reboot Now". But it's now stuck on the screen that appears when i install an update. It's not downloading or installing anything, it just says "Preparing Windows. Do not shut down." What should I do?

Hi Welcome to Windows Central! How long has it been stuck? If it doesn't start after a reasonable time, shut down with the power button and try to restart Windows. Windows 10 has ways of fixing itself. If you are able to restart run Windows Defender and then run Malwarebytes Free.
