All my files and icons have dissapeared

This has happened to both of my laptops this week. Start menu won't work desktop icons have dissapeared and all my files and folders.

sounds like you might have malware on your computer, or you recently uninstalled something and it messed up your desktop, I suggest you restore to a previous date (if you don't have malware causing this) should clear this up
