Saving images from email

[Windows Central Question]

Hi
I can't figure how to save images attached in an email on Windows phone 10 using Nokia 650.
Have tried selecting the little dots menu and am given the option to save and to save to either the phone or the cloud but when it does save it saves the whole email ! I just want the pictures!
I know it worked previously on my old phone running Windows 8 .

Not sure I'm understanding when you say "images attached" (embedded in the email?) but if you're talking about attachments in general, you can: 1) Tap the attachment to open and then depending on the app used to open it, save it from there. 2) Tap and hold the attachment and you'll get a Download option. Tap it and when it's done, tap and hold again it again to get Open or Save.

I think he means inline images...

You can press on it all you want, a copy button shows up but you can't really paste it anywhere
