Are Microsoft Download servers exceptionally slow ?

I'm trying to setup a new Surface Pro, and some of the software comes from Microsoft ( Office 365, Creators Update, Visual Studio Community ). I've been at this for two days, and the downloads from Microsoft servers start, then stall. I've also tried getting the install files on my desktop with the same results.

I have checked my download speed and it clocks at a steady 160 mbps, so the connection is good. I have also downloaded from other sites, and there is absolutely no problem with them.

I searched the net for info on this topic with no results, and also the MSFT Community. Is anyone else seeing this behavior or do I need to look further at my own system?

I haven't faced any problems myself. It's possible Microsoft servers are swamped with the Creators Update rolling out and all that.

Are there any error codes or messages when you try to download? If so, what are they?
