Running Win10 on Surface Pro 4

How do I retrieve my files? They were there last night, as I uploaded some photos to my study group on Facebook.

@Tigergrrrl, are you able to access them by going to OneDrive ,and find your OneNote notebooks > files? If you can then:

Regarding reestablishing the link to your OneNote files, from your computer... go to OneNote > THEN: the list of notebook > THEN: right click on the folder(s) that is/are giving you an error message > THEN: remove the notebook > THEN: left click on 'Open Other Notebooks' and try to open the notebook you just removed, it should reestablish the link.

NOTE: you will remove the troubled notebook from the COMPUTER... NOT from OneDrive.

Unfortunately, they weren't backed up to OneDrive. (They are NOW!!!) That's usually the first thing i check, but with new computer arriving only a couple of days before college classes started, I wasn't as thorough as I usually am.

Fortunately only have to recreate two weeks worth of notes. So it wasn't as costly as it could have been.

Thanks for your help!

@Tigergrrrl, did you try going to OneNote Online (go through outlook.com, and select OneNote from the dial pad icon in the top, left corner), and see if you can find your files that way?

I've been going through diagnostics with OneNote and OneDrive, plus going through my school's interface. I think some of it may have come from the system trying to integrate my school account with my old personal Office account.

At least I only lost two week's worth of info, instead of an entire semester immediately before a comprehensive final. Lol

But you've been a great help. I appreciate all the input.
