Touch Cover Stopped Working after 8.1 update

So this is weird. I updated to 8.1 this morning and all of a sudden my touch cover has mostly stopped working. The track pad and mouse buttons work, but none of the other keys do. Anyone else having any issues?

That's strange, mine works (I'm writing this on it in 8.1). Have you trued detaching and reattaching it and restarted your Surface?

I have tried those things. I even tried uninstalling from Devices and re-installing. It could just be that my cover has failed and the timing is purely a coincidence. Time to see how long my warranty is good for...

This is a fairly common issue. You need to do a "Refresh" (under update and recovery) and then reapply the firmware update.

The firmware update was supposed to be installed BEFORE upgrading to 8.1.
