i have chinese characters on my windows tablet start screen how do i remove them

Hi all i have just bought a inovo8 windows 8.1 tablet and i changed the region & language to english and can now type and read everything but i still have Chinese characters on my setting menu start screen and computer about section, any ideas how i get rid of these for good ??? sorry but im a bit of a noob with 8.1
