HTC 8X not able to update (8018830f)

Hey guys,

you are my last hope... I just bought my 8X a week ago and when trying to update it, it first downloads the update, after that it's preparing the Installation, it reaches about 10 percent, then skips to 100% and says " The update was downloaded but could not be opened (8018830f)"

The OS Version is 8.0.10211.204

What I tried so far:
- Soft reset
- Hard reset
- Adjusting time and region settings

- I already contacted the Windows Phone support and they said that it's really strange and they'll look into it, but I've not heard back of them yet...

Anyone else had a similar problem or another idea how to solve that problem?

Download the update again. Happened with me too.

That's interesting.. I've had the exact same issue with my Lumia 925:

Hey,

I actually only want GDR 2 The Windows Phone Support has no idea and HTC only said that it's Microsofts fault but I could send it in, which would take like 3 weeks...
The WP Support guy also said that I should download another language and then try the update. Maybe that helps you.. didn't work for me...

Yeah, try setting to English, US, Mountain Time. But turn off location first

Connect to outlook.com with your Microsoft account, get through account settings and view your personal info. Stay connected to outlook then try update the phone. I got many errors first time updating, but this solved them.
