yesterday I received my Surface Book, I really like it a lot but I have already two issues:
1: The battery does not fully charge, one battery goes to 100% and the second got stuck @ 55% even do you see a message that it is connected to the charger but not charging.

2: This morning when I wanted to show of my machine to my boss the screen did not detach and it showed a message in the taskbar that my SB needed to charge before this option would be available.

Anybody else has this problem?

Went to the Microsoft store on 5th avenue (really busy but lots of Microsoft staff) and it turned out my battery had a problem, exchanged the book and all seems to work fine now. Was a pleasant experience at the store even though it was really crowded, I did leave with the Elite controller and Halo 5 though... good salespeople I guess

I just got mine about 3 hours ago and battery 2 is at 100% and 1 is at 95% and charging. I did try the disconnect but had no issues with that so far either.

ARGH! I need a MS store within 30 miles (not 100 like it currently is). I guess I may go down there when I am in LA Saturday...I kinda want to try out the elite controller and hopefully a 950XL (still not 100% on that until I see the app sitch.

Solved the issue. I had set Nvidia as the preferred GPU. Changing it back to auto-select allows me to detach without closing apps.

I got my first BSOD today too. Also had tons of touch issues where it would start registering multiple touches with just one finger down. But a restart fixed that thankfully.
